Washington DC metro map save the date

What says Washington DC wedding better than the colorful metro map known to Washingtonians one and all? For this custom save the date, the metro was the focus for a May wedding at the W Hotel in the heart of Washington DC, with stops highlighted of significance to the couple’s life together. A fun save the date to get all the guests excited about coming to the Nation’s Capital! A mix of modern text with elegant calligraphy script to set the wedding tone. The multiple colors and deep texture were made possible by custom Letterpress Light printing, with an embossed impression 50% deeper than traditional letterpress. When it’s time for all the out-of-towners to come to this elegant affair downtown, don’t forget to snap a photo of tuxedos, gowns, and metro cars!

Black Foil Silver Wedding Anniversary Invitation

How else would you celebrate a silver wedding anniversary, but with a Black Foil Invitation stamped into silver metallic paper? This party was held at the renowned Speke Resort along the northern shore of Lake Victoria, Uganda. We were told that, as it is a tradition, the invitations were hand delivered.

Why a Silver Anniversary for 25 Years of Marriage?

Answer: Tradition! Some traditional gifts for the wedding anniversaries for the first and second year is paper and then cotton. (You’re covered here if you pick up some personal stationery since we mostly print on cotton paper.) The large milestones afterwards are the 10th Year (Tin/Aluminum), 15th Year (Crystal), 20th Year (China), 25th Year (Silver) and the 30th Year (Pearl). For anything afterward, we believe that it should be a vacation to an exotic destination including and a bottomless margarita. Although the 60th anniversary is a Diamond, it was interesting to discover that the 90th anniversary is a stone!

How do you get rich textured invitation like this? Well that’s easy, you get in touch. You can have one of these in a typography design that fits your celebration theme whether it’s a wedding invitation or a corporate event, all we have to do is change the paper, the color of the foil (it comes in hundreds of colors including silver foil, bronze foil, copper foil, gold foil, white foil, blue foil, etc.), and choose the fonts and lay out the type.
